Welcome to Sound of Emotions!

Before you access our site and the educational courses, please read these Terms of Service carefully. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. We reserve the right to revise these terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website, and we will notify you via email or on our site whenever significant changes are made.

Sound of Emotions provides an online platform dedicated to piano education, helping you learn at your own pace with structured courses and exclusive material.

Course Access and Content

Our courses are designed to be consumed over a specific period and may include unique content such as videos, MP3 files, and sheet music exclusively for active members. Membership provides access to all current and future materials for the duration of your subscription. Additionally, we offer a lifetime access option, which grants you perpetual access to the course materials.

Definition of Lifetime: For the purposes of these Terms of Service, “lifetime” access refers to the period during which Sound of Emotions continues to offer and support the purchased course. This access is not subject to subscription fees or renewal charges. Lifetime access is guaranteed for the operational lifetime of the course within Sound of Emotions, which is contingent upon ‘Sound of Emotions – David Magyel’ continuing to offer and support the course. Should Sound of Emotions or the specific course be discontinued, users will be notified in advance and provided with the option to download all course videos, allowing them to retain access to the educational content they have purchased.

 

Subscriptions

Your Sound of Emotions membership is automatically renewed each billing cycle. To access the services provided by Sound of Emotions, you need to have:

• Internet access,
• A device compatible with Sound of Emotions, such as a PC, smartphone, or tablet, and
• One or more payment methods.

Payment Method is defined as a current, valid, accepted way to make payments, which may change over time and could include payments through a third-party account. It’s important to cancel your membership before the start of the next billing cycle to avoid being charged for another period. For instructions on how to cancel, please see the “Cancellation” section.

 

Billing and Cancellation

1. Billing Cycle. The membership fee for the Sound of Emotions service, will be charged on the billing date shown on your “My Account” ( Dashboard ) page. Your billing cycle depends on the subscription plan you select when you sign up. Membership fees are due and payable at the time of billing. Your payment date might change—for instance, if your payment fails or if your membership started on a date not present in all months. To view your next payment date, log into your account from a desktop or laptop.

2. Payment Methods. You need to provide one or more payment methods to use the Sound of Emotions service. You authorize us to charge any payment method linked to your account if your primary payment method is declined or unavailable for your subscription fee. You are responsible for any unpaid amounts. If a payment fails due to reasons like card expiration, insufficient funds, or others, and you haven’t canceled your account, we may pause your service until we can charge a valid payment method.

3. Updating Your Payment Methods. You can update your payment methods on the “My Account” page.
(Dashboard → Plans → Plan → Update Payment Method) After any update, you agree that we may continue to charge the updated payment method(s).

4. Cancellation. You can cancel your Sound of Emotions membership at any time, and you’ll continue to have access to the service until the end of your billing period. To cancel, visit the “My Account” page on our website and follow the cancellation instructions.
(Dashboard → Plans → Plan → Cancel Plan) If you cancel, your account will automatically close at the end of your current billing period. If you signed up using a third-party payment method and want to cancel, you may need to manage your subscription through that third party and turning off auto-renew, or unsubscribing from the Sound of Emotions service.

5. Changes to Prices and Subscription Plans. We may change our subscription plans and prices at any time and in any way we decide. Any changes will be effective after we notify you.

 

Refund Policy

We are committed to delivering high-quality piano education through our digital courses and exclusive downloadable content. Understanding the importance of customer satisfaction, we offer this detailed explanation of our refund policy in alignment with EU and Norwegian consumer rights.

1. Trial Before Purchase. We know how important it is to try out and feel the experience of our Sound of Emotions online courses before committing to pay for them. That’s why we offer free sample lessons, where you can sign up and try out a lesson or two from each of the piano courses we offer. This opportunity is designed to ensure that our courses meet your expectations and fit your learning style. If, after this experience, you are still unsure whether the course is right for you, please reach out to us. We are more than happy to assist and provide further guidance.

2. Acknowledgment of Loss of Right to Withdraw

By purchasing our digital courses, you consent to the immediate provision of the digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right to withdraw from the contract once the download or streaming of the digital content has begun. This acknowledgment is in accordance with Angrerettloven § 22 letter n and EU regulations on consumer rights for digital content.

3. No Refunds Due to Immediate Access to Digital Content

Upon purchase, you gain immediate access to our comprehensive range of piano courses, including exclusive downloadable piano books (workbooks) that are integral to our learning experience. Because of the digital format of our materials and the immediate access provided, refunds are not available once a purchase has been completed.

This policy is in line with EU and Norwegian regulations regarding digital content, where the right to withdraw from a purchase does not apply to digital items delivered immediately, such as our online courses and downloadable content. This includes situations where you acknowledge and agree to immediate access during the purchase process, thereby waiving the standard 14-day cooling-off period typically available for online sales.

4. Continued Access Post-Cancellation If you decide to cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to the course materials through the end of your current billing period. This ensures that you can still benefit from the content until your subscription officially ends.

5. Discretionary Credits. At any time, for any reason, we may offer refunds, discounts, or other forms of consideration (“credits”) to some or all of our members. The provision of such credits is at our sole and absolute discretion and does not create an entitlement for future credits under similar circumstances, nor does it obligate us to provide credits in the future.
